Meet Mary Pracht...
Born in Kalamazoo
Michigan, and educated at Western Michigan University, Mary long
ago decided that life would be better lived in the warmth and
beauty of the South Carolina Lowcountry. She made it her permanent
home in 1982.
Hilton Head Island in the early 1980’s was a very different place
than it is now. Boasting only two traffic lights, a couple of
Grocery stores, a handful of shops and less than 11,000 permanent
residents, it was none the less as beautiful and inviting as it is
today. Mary happily relocated to the then quiet Island when a job
opportunity with a local Advertising Agency arose. |

Mary’s son Andrew was born and raised here on the Island that she
calls “home”. Andrew is about to graduate from Arizona State
University, and although he has enjoyed his time in Arizona, he misses
the fresh ocean air and the singular beauty of the Island. His
visits home are now very special to him.
Over the years, Mary has
created a robust social and professional network in the
Lowcountry which is a great asset to her as a professional
